What is the teacher necessary for? (IATEFL 2017 video)

In this talk, delivered at the IATEFL 2017 conference in Glasgow, I looked at various activities that take place in class, bearing in mind which of these activities could be done independently by our students with more or less the same effect, and where the teacher’s presence and expertise add some extra value.
